Subject: Innocence Lost
Like an extended NPR segment, it demands the listener’s attention, wondering what’s next.
It’s a compilation of summer recollections that will fire the memories of the listener, transporting them back to childhood summer adventures, from the opening sounds of the neighborhood ice cream truck, to having to grow up and actually go to work. This one’s for anyone who’s ever had an employee review, received a weird answering machine message, or just been a kid.
Maybe it’s cause of my recent divorce, but the female talent included sound rather arousing.
Pete Petrisko and an inebriated-sounding Kevin Patterson are as full of wit here as in their live performances. 'Predictable' and 'Imposters of Memory' are absolutely wonderful. 'Three Weeks' is a disturbing, can’t-stop listening (hopefully!) fictional exploration of childhood helplessness. A wonderful collection.
